The Public Utilities Commission is in a quandary over implementing the power cuts and providing online lessons to the children with the same emphasis.

PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said that the authorities are contemplating enforcing power cuts in two segments in the morning and evening. The morning power cut, which will last for one hour and forty minutes, will come into effect after one in the afternoon to avoid power cuts when schools prepare to coach children via online classes.

Hence, according to the power cut schedule from today to the 3rd, the power cut will start from 1 pm.

Accordingly, the Public Utilities Commission has permitted a power outage of one hour twenty minutes during the night for zones A to L and P to W from today to the 3rd of this month. Accordingly, these zones will experience a three-hour power cut per day until July 3.
