The pro-LTTE Diaspora has started a campaign against young singer Yohani de Silva who is becoming an international Sri Lankan brand, claiming that she is the daughter of a war criminal.
Since Yohani is the daughter of Lt. General Prasanna Silva who spearheaded a brigade during the war against LTTE terrorists, these extremist groups are using social media such as Twitter and Facebook that the Eelam Tamil people in Sri Lanka and abroad should not support Yohani.
According to media reports, pro-LTTE groups are making such statements because tens of millions of Indians have been seduced by Yohani and the song ‘Menike Mage Hithe’ has become a huge hit in Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the southern states of India.
