President Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to invite all political parties to form an all-party government after the twenty-second amendment becomes law.

President Ranil Wickramasinghe announced on the 21st, when he met with party leaders in Parliament after taking the oath as the President, that he is working to establish an all-party government.

Even after being elected as the successor to President Rajapaksa in Parliament, Wickremesinghe addressed the House and said that he would invite all political parties to join in forming an all-party government.

Parliamentary sources say the bill is now in the Parliamentary order paper.

After the cabinet approved the twenty-second constitutional amendment, the government gazette of June 24 published the same for the public to peruse.
