President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been convened all relevant parties to take a stern decision to present the 21st Amendment to Parliament as soon as possible political sources said.
According to government sources, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Dinesh Gunawardena, GL Peiris and other government leaders are expected to attend the meeting.
The much waited cabinet approval for the 21st amendment was postponed in four occassions citing various reasons but has yet to be passed.
Accordingly, the contents of the 21st Amendment and its submission to the Cabinet as well as the time frame for its submission to Parliament will be decided today, the sources said.
