President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed him that he will resign from the Presidency on July 13th Wednesday Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene said.The speaker was informed by the President following the decisions of party leaders were informed in written by the speaker this evening.
The Party leaders decided today that bot the President as well as the Prime Minister should resign before the formation of interim all party government. It was decided to convey this to President and the Prime Minister by the Speaker. According to sources, the President had informed his decision to the Speaker and had sought time till Wednesday as a transition period to hand over the pending official work.
