In a move to address simmering salary anomalies that led to several trade union actions, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed a specialist committee to address salary disparities in government service, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said in a statement.
According to the PMD, this committee, chaired by former Presidential Secretary Mr. Udaya Seneviratne, comprises various distinguished members including the Director General of the National Budget Department S.D.J. Nilukshan, the Director General of the Management Services Department Hiransa Kaluthantri, the Director General of Combined Services S. Aloka Bandara, the Director General of Institutions H.A. Chandana Kumarasinghe, Dr. Terence Gamini de Silva, Duminda Hulangamuwa, Chandi H. Dharmaratne, and Isuru Thilakawardena.
