All services related to electricity supply petroleum production and fuel supply or distribution are made essential services by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The gazette notification that made these services essential services was issued yesterday (20) by Presidential Secretary E.M.S.B Ekanayake.
Through this gazette announcement, the President has decreed that these services provided by any government corporation, department, local government body, cooperative society, or branch are essential services to maintain the normal life of the people.
