Pope Francis’ health continues to improve gradually, according to an update from the Holy See Press Office on Saturday evening, March 8. His condition remains stable, showing a positive response to treatment.
The Pope has not experienced a fever, and his breathing and blood test results have remained steady. Doctors, however, are proceeding with caution and have not yet lifted their guarded prognosis. To support his recovery, he continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy during the day and non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night.
Despite his health condition, Pope Francis remains engaged in certain official duties. On Saturday afternoon, he balanced rest with work activities, and in the morning, he participated in prayer after receiving the Eucharist in his private chapel.
As planned, the Pope will take part in the spiritual exercises beginning today, in communion with the Roman Curia. In line with previous Sundays, the text of his Angelus message will be distributed.
Due to the stability of his condition, the Vatican may not release a medical update today, but the Press Office will continue to provide journalists with relevant information.
