The Covid 19 vaccine drive for the Sri Lanka Police commenced today at 8 am under the supervision of the Minister of Public Order Sarath Weerasekara at the Police Hospital in Narahenpita today (31). A group of Police officers in the front lines in combatting Covid 19 were given the first dose of the vaccine at the event.
Nearly 160 people, including the hospital medical staff, support staff and other police officers on duty at the police hospital received the vaccine today.
The first dose was given today while the second dose will be given in another months time. The vaccination drive in the Sri Lanka Police will be carried out today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
