People jump over walls to avoid Covid testing at Kalmunai market

A random antigen Covid 19 testing program at the public market in Kalmunai yesterday (28) identified 27 people as infected with Covid 19.

Of these, 24 are residents of the Kalmunai area and the remaining three had visited the Kalmunai Public Market on the day.

The Army, Police and health officials had cordoned off the public market and roads to conduct the quick testing. Even then, some people jumped over walls and avoided the test sources said.
