Dimbulagala Siripura Ratmalkandura Maha Vidyalaya witnessed a protest as a group of parents gathered in front of the college today (21) morning, voicing their opposition to the sudden transfer of the Principal.

The protestors, consisting of nearly two hundred parents, expressed their dissatisfaction with the unexpected transfer of Principal Susanta Bandara Yapa Ratna, who had been serving the college diligently. Principal Yapa Ratna was abruptly reassigned to the Dehiattakandia Education Office last Friday (16) much to the dismay of the school community.

Mrs. G.D. Niluka Niroshani, the Secretary of the School Development Society, highlighted Principal Yapa Ratna’s exemplary leadership and contributions to the college, emphasizing his significant impact on the school’s development and progress.

The protestors passionately advocated for the reinstatement of Principal Yapa Ratna, emphasizing the need for continuity in leadership to maintain the stability and effectiveness of the educational institution. They called upon the concerned authorities to reconsider the decision and ensure the appointment of a suitable principal who can effectively fulfill the needs of the school.
