The Accident Ward of the Colombo National Hospital received 111 accidents on December 31 and January 01, according to National Hospital sources. The sources further point out that there is a 60 percent decrease in accidents compared to last year.
These 111 accidents include 04 firecracker accidents, 24 road accidents, 21 accidents and 53 accidents at homes and workplaces, the sources said.
According to hospital sources, 60 people are currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital due to accidents.
