Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa addressed the Parliament today (11), asserting that he and Ranil Wickremesinghe will never form an alliance. Premadasa expressed concern over false propaganda by certain organizations and urged the media to refrain from spreading baseless claims.

Premadasa highlighted the collaboration of organizations engaged in misleading propaganda, alleging that they have received extortion money from the government while falsely claiming an alliance between him and Wickremesinghe. He stated, “Ranil and Sajith will never get together,” and confirmed that this declaration will be officially made in the Parliament.

Expressing frustration with what he termed as “inert media,” Premadasa called on them to resist being a conduit for the spread of unfounded rumors. He emphasized the need for responsible journalism and requested media outlets to verify information before disseminating it to the public.

In his concluding remarks, Opposition Leader Premadasa reaffirmed the commitment of both himself and Ranil Wickremesinghe to make an official declaration in the Parliament, firmly putting an end to speculations about a potential alliance between the two political figures.
