Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand Crowned Miss World 2025

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand has been crowned Miss World 2025. The prestigious event, marking the 72nd edition of the pageant, took place at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, this evening.

The evening began with the grand introduction of 108 contestants from around the world. Following this opening segment, the hosts revealed the top 10 contestants from each continent.

The First Thai woman to win the Miss World title

Suchata has made history as the first Thai woman to win the Miss World title.

Before this remarkable achievement, she was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2024 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, where she secured the position of third runner-up.

Born on 20 September 2003, Suchata comes from a business-oriented family based in Thalang, Phuket. She completed her primary and lower secondary education at Kajonkietsuksa School, followed by upper secondary education at Triam Udom Suksa School, where she majored in Chinese under the Arts program.

Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University in Thailand.

Top 4 Finalists

After several rounds of competition, the Top 4 finalists were announced. These included contestants from Martinique, Poland, Ethiopia, and Thailand. The final decision came after each of the Top 4 answered one last question posed by the jury. Based on their responses, the judges awarded the Miss World 2025 title to Opal Suchata Chuangsri. Miss Ethiopia secured the second position, Miss Poland was third, and Miss Martinique finished fourth.

Sri Lanka Loses Hopes For Anudi

Anudi Gunasekara, who represented Sri Lanka at the 72nd Miss World pageant, was unable to secure a place among the final 40 contestants, ending the country’s hopes for the Miss World 2025 crown.

Despite not advancing further, Anudi delivered impressive performances throughout the competition. She notably qualified for the final rounds in both the Head-to-Head Challenge and the Multimedia category, showcasing her talent and dedication on the international stage.
