 NPP announces A National list With Professionals

The National People’s Power (NPP) has announced the appointment of 18 members to its national list, comprising a diverse array of professionals, including academics, retired military officers, engineers, social activists, and legal experts. The appointments reflect NPP’s commitment to integrating expertise from various fields to guide its policy-making and governance strategies.

List of Appointed Members

1. Bimal Ratnayake – A member of the JVP Political Committee, National Executive Member of NPP, and former Member of Parliament.
2. Dr. Anura Karunathilaka – Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Kelaniya, National Executive Member of NPP, and a member of its Policy Making Committee.
3. Professor Upali Pannilage – Former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Ruhuna, National Executive Member of NPP, and a Policy Making Committee member.
4. Eranga Udesh Weeraratne – IT Engineer, CEO, and contributor to NPP’s IT Policy Making Committee.
5. Aruna Jayasekara – Retired Major General and Head of the National Force Retired Army Collective.
6. Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma – Company Director and member of NPP’s Economic Council.
7. Janitha Ruwan Kodithuvakku – Naval Assistant Engineer and active member of NPP’s Engineering Forum Steering Committee.
8. Punya Shri Kumar Jayakodi – Engineer, Project Manager, and National Executive Member of NPP.
9. Ramalingam Chandrasekhar – Former Deputy Committee Chairman of Parliament and Jaffna District Organizer for NPP.
10. Dr. Najith Indika – Social activist and former Convenor of the Inter-University Students’ Union.
11. Sugath Tillakaratne – Renowned Olympian.
12. Lakmali Hemachandra – Attorney-at-law and Colombo District Executive Member of NPP’s Lawyers Organization.
13. Sunil Kumara Gamage  – Chartered Accountant, former Deputy General Manager of the National Water Supply Board, and member of NPP’s Economic Council.
14. Gamini Ratnayake – Former Member of Parliament and Convener of the National Center of Trade Zone Employees.
15. Professor Ruwan Chaminda-Ranasinghe – Dean of the Faculty of Management at Uva Wellassa University and Chairman of the Uva Provincial Tourism Board.
16. Sugath Wasantha De Silva– Retired Social Service Officer and President of the Sri Lanka Optical Graduate Board.
17. Abubakar Adambawa – Educator with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and postgraduate qualifications in education, and Deputy Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Service Association.
18. R. H. Upali Samarasinghe – Vavuniya District Organizer for NPP.
