No compromise with Maha Nayakas for an interim government! Letter reveals

Although it was told by the monks that the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has agreed for an interim government to Tri Nikaya’s Maha nayaka Theras, the letter reveals that there is no such compromise from the President’s side. Instead the President has sought some more time with patience to solve country’s burning problems.

The document states that if the chief incumbents intervene and propose a course of action to overcome this economic crisis, the President will give his full support.

The President has stated that he is acting in accordance with the Constitution and that the aspirations of the people should be achieved within the Constitution itself.

The President has stated that it is regrettable that the political parties did not accept the sincere invitation to convene an all party conference to alleviate the current situation and help the country recover from the crisis by taking up ministerial posts. Informs.

In the letter the Chief Incumbents were told by the President that that a team of experts appointed by him, led by the Minister of Finance, is seeking solutions to the economic crisis and that the Cabinet has launched a program to resolve the country’s burning issues and bring the country in the right direction.
