Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Myeon Lee, reaffirmed her country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Sri Lanka under the new Korean administration.
The Ambassador made these remarks during a meeting with Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (18). He emphasized that Korea will continue to support the priorities of the Sri Lankan government and work closely to identify and monitor areas of cooperation.
Ambassador Lee also highlighted Korea’s readiness to provide continued assistance through development initiatives and technical cooperation.
The discussion also focused on the timely completion of projects being implemented in Sri Lanka by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Senior Additional Secretary to the President, Roshan Gamage, KOICA Sri Lanka Director Yooli Lee, and Oh Joeng-tae, Director of the Colombo Office of the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Korea Exim Bank, were among the officials present at the meeting.
