The cabinet of the new government will be sworn in today (12). The event will be held at the Magul Maduwa (Ceremonial Hall) at the Sri Dalada Maligawa at 8.30 am the President’s Media Division said.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramun managed to secure a near majority at the recently concluded elections allowing the party to form a government. On Monday (10) a gazette was issued declaring the names of 28 ministries. It also announced 40 state ministerial portfolios.
