“Saksurin known as “Mutu Raja” Tusker donated by the Thai government to sri lanka 22 years ago left back to his homeland this morning(02). The Tusker was boarded by a special aircraft that came from Russia.
The vehicle carrying the elephant king has left the Dehiwala Zoo where he was kept until now at around 12.00 am. The special carrier had taken steps to bring him to Katunayake Airport very slowly and in such a way that the elephant would not be inconvenienced. The elephant was kept in a special cabin built for the elephant king’s flight.
At around 04.30 in the morning, the special cage with the elephant started to be loaded onto the Russian “Illusion-76” plane that is going to take him to Thailand.
The flight departed from Katunayake Airport at around 07.30 this morning for “Xianmai” Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.
