The Bureau of Geology and Mines has reported a slight tremor in the Monaragala area. The recorded magnitude of the tremor was 2.6 on the Richter scale.
According to the bureau, the tremor occurred at approximately 9:06 am today. As it was of a minor magnitude, there have been no reports of significant damage or impact in the region.
