The Ministry of Energy says that uninterrupted supply of fuel will be a challenge in the future due to the further increase in fuel demand to Ceypetco with the resumption of LIOC fuel prices.
However, the ministry confirmed that CEYPETCO has not yet taken any decision to increase fuel prices.
The Ministry of Energy says that the demand for fuel from CEYPETCO filling stations has increased in comparison to LIOC’s filling stations.The Ministry of Energy also urges the public to refrain from accumulating unnecessary fuel stocks in the current situation.
Ministry officials further stated that steps are being taken to manage the situation as much as possible.
Meanwhile, long queues have been created at some petrol stations islandwide and some petrol stations have been closed due to lack of fuel.
