President has taken steps to change the portfolios of several Cabinet and State Ministries yesterday (11) with the intention of increasing the efficiency of those Ministries Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Ramesh Pathirana said.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday changed the scope of 10 ministries by issuing a special gazette notification.
The President had taken this decision after the removal of Susil Premajayantha from the post of State Minister and at a time when political rumors were circulating that a Cabinet reshuffle will take place soon.
