Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP for Mavai Senathirajah said that the appointment of MPs to the National list would not be made to suit the needs of any individual or other TNA parliamentarians. He made these comments while addressing the media in Jaffna yesterday (11).

Addressing the media he said that seats on the national list would be given only after the approval of the TNA Central Committee.

He said that this had been neglected on two previous occasions and MPs had been appointed on the request of various individuals. However as a result he said that the TNA has decided not to appoint members to the National List this time without the approval of the Central Committee.
