Ridiyagama Safari Park, it has been revealed that the Assistant Warden in charge of the animals of Ridiyagama Safari Park is the major offender behind the cruel animal slaughter happening inside the Ridiyagama Park an employee of the park has revealed . . The baiting and killing of the animals are thought to have been done by the same person ,giving a statement to Hiru News he revealed .
Additionally, an adult animal of the rare deer species called Black Birk, which has been classified as globally endangered, has been shot and killed as well.
All these crimes are said to be committed by the officials of the Ridiyagama Safari Park.
The inside sources of the park also report that the drivers working at the park are the same ones involved in the transportation of the slaughtered animals.
It is a disgrace that there are no senior officials with the courage to oppose this ongoing system at the park. The fact that these crimes occur in the park that the nation is attempting to use to boost tourism is also unfortunate.
