Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, who was the Minister of Prison Reforms and Prisoner Welfare, was sworn in as the Minister of State for Health Services Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Cov 19 this evening (30).
Lohan Ratwatte will be appointed Minister of State for Prison Reforms and Prisoner Welfare, government sources told Lankasara. It is reported that Lohan Ratwatte who is in Kandy today (30) will be sworn in tomorrow. The sources said that the change was made considering the current situation in the prisons.
Also, a new Ministry of State has been established for the control of infectious diseases including the control of Kovid 19 and Sudarshani Fernandopulle, a doctor by profession, has been appointed to head it.
