Health officials have been informed by the government that they have no intention of lockdown the country within the next six weeks until the vaccination is completed, Health Ministry sources told Lankasara.
During a discussion yesterday, top government officials have instructed the Health officials that its stance on the issue as well as on how to manage the situation that could arise due to the covid pandemic.
However, health experts, including specialists, have suggested that the country be immediately imposed a curfew or closure as the situation worsens.
However, the government has stated that it will continue to relax or tighten the existing restrictions until the end of vaccination, without making any changes to the existing program
