Litro Gas Company has requested the government to increase the price of a 12.5 kg gas cylinder by Rs. 850.
Accordingly, if the requested price increases, the price of a 12.5 liter gas cylinder will be at Rs. 3600.
A 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder currently sells for Rs. Priced at 2,750.
In October 2021, the domestic gas cylinder sold for less than 1,500 rupees. It is reported that the company expects the above price increase as the dollar appreciates.
Gas distribution has been hampered in recent weeks by problems with opening letters of credit for gas purchases due to the dollar shortage. However, the company resumed gas distribution yesterday (12).
Litro said it delivered about 200,000 cylinders of gas to the market on Fridays and Saturdays after giving permission to open letters of credit.
