The fishermen of Kilinochchi are preparing to send a petition to the Indian Government of India with 100,000 signatures against the invasion of Indian fishermen who have come to the shores of the Iranathivu Islands in Kilinochchi and started fishing.
Since the Jaffna fishermen have been severely attacked by Indian fishermen, and fishermen in Kilinochchi also have become vulnerable, have begun to protest against Indian fishermen.
Fishermen in Kilinochchi have stated that they will submit a petition with 100,000 signatures to the Indian government as the first step in protesting against Indian fishermen.
The fishermen in Keenochchi further stated that copies of the petition have been handed over to the Government of Sri Lanka and the Minister of Fisheries and hope for relief.
