A group of youth in Vavuniya lit crackers and celebrated yesterday evening as the Supreme court dismissed all FR petition filed challenging the gazettes issued by the President dissolving parliament and the gazette issued by the Election commission to hold elections on June 20.
The youth without any party affiliation had also been critical of former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP M.A Sumanthiran claiming the former MP by filing the FR had attempted to curtail their right to
The youth who lit crackers remained on a spot for awhile celebrating the courts decision. Remarkably they also cleaned the area before dispersing.
