Jaffna people dig Chavakachcheri dump yard in search of gold!

People of Chavakachcheri of Jaffna have started digging and stirring the garbage dump in the municipality in search of gold. The incident is as follows.
A family lost gold articles of forty-two pounds in the Chawakachcheri Sangathane area of ​​Jaffna after they accidentally dumped them as garbage and the debris was dumped in the municipal garbage dump.

This was due to the housewife of the family has kept the gold articles in a plastic bottle to secure them from, thieves which has become a menace in the area. However, the husband who does not know the gold articles’ safe place dumped the plastic bottle in a dustbin and handed it over to the municipality’s garbage truck.

After hearing about the incident, the woman of the house was alarmed and informed her husband about it. The husband immediately went to Chavakachcheri police and complained to the police about it.

According to the complaint, a group of police officers went and inspected the garbage dump, but they could not find any such gold items. The husband has reported this incident to the Chavakachcheri Municipal Council too.

But so far no one has found the gold items mixed with the garbage truck of the municipality.

As this news spread throughout the area, many residents started digging and stirring the garbage dump of the municipality.

Last year, a similar incident was reported from the Chavakachcheri area of ​​Jaffna, where the municipal employees found gold articles worth 18 pounds, which the house owner had thrown into the garbage truck of the municipality, and brought to the house and handed them over.
