Ishara Sewwandi, a member of a criminal gang who was arrested in Nepal on the 13th, was brought to Sri Lanka this evening (15).
She and her group arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, at 6:52 p.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL 182 from Kathmandu.
Ishara has been identified as a prime suspect in the murder of Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, alias “Ganemulla Sanjeewa,” an organized crime gang member.
She and the other suspects are scheduled to be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
