The IGP has handed over the investigation into the death of 9-year-old Fathima Aisha, who was killed in the Atalugama area in Bandaragama, to the CID.
According to police sources, the investigation has been handed over to the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the CID.
The post-mortem examination of the girl’s body is underway.
