Well-known Astrologist, Indika Thotawatta, has been apprehendeda for a statement made about the Prophet Muhammad on social media, which is alleged to have caused harm to religious harmony. The allegations were made by 12 individuals, including the chairman of the Jameital Ulama organization.
The arrest was executed following a summons issued by the Computer Crime Division today, compelling Thotawatta to provide a statement regarding the controversial social media post.
Indika Thotawatta is scheduled to appear in court today (06) as part of the ongoing legal proceedings stemming from the complaints lodged against him.
