The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka has promised the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to work out a final agenda to immediately stop the injustice done to Indian fishermen by fishermen in the North TNA Jaffna District Parliamentarian MA Sumanthiran said.
According to the MP, that this was stated by the High commissioner at a meeting with a group of TNA Parliamentarians held recently.
Mr. Sumanthiran said that the Indian High Commissioner had acknowledged that the fishermen in the North were being harassed by Indian fishermen and that the fishermen in the North were losing their marine resources due to these activities.
Therefore, the Indian High Commissioner has told the TNA MPs that an agenda will be prepared immediately to end this issue and a solution will be reached after discussions with the Indian government.
