Group of migrant workers harassed by employers return to Sri Lanka

A total of 293 Sri Lankans arrived on a special flight from Qatar today after being harassed by their employers and facing various other difficulties. The duty manager of the Katunayake airport stated that this group of Sri Lankans who arrived this morning were directed to quarantine.

Meanwhile, 681 passengers in 20 flights arrived at the Katunayake Airport during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am today. The group included 83 from the United Arab Emirates, 77 from Abu Dhabi, 39 from Pakistan and 34 from Bangladesh.
