The Ministry of Agriculture has decided to import two million liters of Nano Urea liquid fertilizer which is an innovative liquid product from India.
It is reported that this liquid fertilizer, developed with Nano technology for the first time by a Nano technology firm in Gujarat is being imported with the intervention of the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa Ministry further said.
The first consignment will be flown to Sri Lanka next Tuesday . Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture Prof. Uditha K. Jayasinghe says that this nano nitrogen liquid fertilizer is one of the most technologically advanced plant nutrients in the world.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture told the media that this fertilizer has a higher productivity than the urea fertilizer currently in use and that this type of fertilizer is in high demand in the world.
