The Global Tamil Forum (GTF) suggests a constitutional change to find the necessary foreign reserves needed to solve the country’s economic crunch.
Suren Surandhiran, Spokesperson for the Global Tamil Forum, referred to this while talking to the Hiru Media Network from London.
He says that the GTF is willing to provide the necessary funds to resolve the crisis, given the implementation of the draft constitution prepared during the Yahapalana administration approved by Parliament.
The ban imposed on six organisations and 316 individuals, including the Global Tamil Forum, was lifted after Ranil Wickremesinghe became the President.
The President has proposed to open a Tamil Diaspora office in Sri Lanka.
