A giant crocodile caught by Sri Lanka’s wildlife officials while trying to enter in to a house

Sri Lanka’s   Wildlife Officers have caught a 12-foot long giant crocodile who was trying to enter a house in the Karakolagalaya village of North Central province early this morning (14). The crocodile wad released in to the Wilpatttu sanctuary by the wild life officials.

 

Residents who woke up early in the morning after hearing something banging on the door of their house finally saw this huge crocodile trying to enter their house and alerted the nearby villagers.

At the same time, a call was made to the Adigala wildlife office, together with the wildlife officers; they caught the crocodile and took it to the Wilpattu forest for release.

 

Residents say that there is a deadly crocodile disaster in the reservoirs around the area. Local residents who say that many lives have been sacrificed to crocodiles and that a situation has been created in some villages where it is impossible to go down to a reservoir, the crocodile population is mostly around IbbanKatuwa Oya and these animals are constantly migrating to the surrounding reservoirs.
