Gampaha MC disinfected after member tests positive for Covid

The disinfection of the interior and exterior of the Gampaha Municipal Council premises took place yesterday (11) after a MC member tested positive for Covid 19. 

He underwent a PCR test due to showing symptoms and it was confirmed that he was infected with the virus.

Gampaha Public Health Inspector Saminda Samaradiwakara stated that steps have been taken to search for his close contacts and that about 75 contacts have been identified in the vicinity of Visakha Road, Gampaha and that steps are being taken to identify other persons.The MC member has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
