Effective from yesterday (30) midnight, the fuel prices in Sri Lanka have been revised, bringing changes to the cost of various petroleum products.
The Ceylon I.O.C Company has aligned its prices with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, ensuring uniformity across the market.
One of the significant changes is the increase in the price of 92 octane petrol. Previously priced at 318 rupees per liter, it has now been raised by 10 rupees, resulting in a new price of 328 rupees per liter.
In contrast, the price of a liter of Octane 95 fuel has been reduced by 20 rupees. Motorists can now avail themselves of this higher-grade fuel at a new price of 365 rupees per liter.
Furthermore, the price of Ceylon Super Diesel has also experienced an increase. With a rise of 6 rupees, the new price stands at 346 rupees per liter.
However, there is some respite for diesel consumers. The price of auto diesel has been reduced by 2 rupees, bringing the new price down to 308 rupees per liter.
Kerosene users will also benefit from the latest revision, as the price of a liter of kerosene has been reduced by 9 rupees. This reduction sets the new price at 236 rupees per liter.
