Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has stated that he is the initial complainant in the case concerning the importation of substandard immunoglobulin injections.
Speaking at a news conference held at the Government Information Department, Rambukwella emphasized that there is no necessity for him to provide a statement as he is already the complainant in the matter.
During the conference, he expressed his readiness to offer additional information to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) if required. Responding to a journalist’s question about whether he had given a statement to the CID, Rambukwella clarified that he had made the first complaint when he learned about the issue during a ministry review discussion on the importation of substandard immunoglobulin injections.
Additionally, he mentioned writing a two-page letter to the Attorney General’s Department to seek advice on the matter.
