Former Head of State Intelligence Service, Senior DIG Nilantha Jayawardena has received death threats, according to police sources. It is said that Mr. Jayawardena, who is currently the DIG of the Central Province, has received the threat through Social Media.
He has said that he received the threat as a result of giving evidence before the Presidential Commission of Eater Sunday attacks and had requested a special security and an inquiry into the threat, sources further said. He has also lodged a complaint with the Witnesses and Victims Protection Unit.
