A foreigner has been arrested by the Anamaduwa Police for sexually abusing a minor. The arrest of the man, identified as a British national took place last night (13). According to the Police, the 63-year-old man had been residing in Mudalakkulliya, Anamamaduwa. His victim is said to be an 11-year-old female child.
According to the Police the man has been living in Sri Lanka for the past 25 years after meeting a local woman during a visit to the country. The Police had received a complaint from the woman that the man had abused her child around two months prior. He has been arrested based on this complaint.
