Arrangements have been made to hold the first ever cannabis festival and educational exhibition in the country in support of the government’s focus on legalizing cannabis and its effective use.
The cannabis festival will be held in April at the Moonplains (Sandatenna) Park in Nuwara Eliya from 10.00 am to 10 pm, says Dr. Wasantha Sena Welianga, a local cannabis researcher.
The book written by Dr. Wasantha Welianga to introduce a policy on cannabis to Sri Lanka will be made public and an exhibition will be organized to showcase the scientific information on the use of cannabis.
The cannabis festival will be held at the Sandatenna Park in Nuwara Eliya.
Also, a number of stalls at various institutional levels will be opened for the Cannabis Festival on that day.
