A fire that erupted in the Pitakotuwa area today (27) has resulted in the hospitalization of 17 individuals with burn injuries. According to sources at the Colombo General Hospital, the condition of six of the injured is considered serious.
The fire began in the early hours of the morning within a textile shop situated at 2nd Cross Street, Petaling Jaya, Colombo. In response to the incident, seven fire engines from the Colombo Fire Brigade were dispatched to combat the blaze.
