Fifteen MPs identified as close contacts of Rauf Hakeem quarantined

Ssources from the Parliament today (10) said at least 15 parliamentarians who associated with MP Rauf Hakeem who was found to be positive for Covid yesterday have been identified for quarantine.

It is reported that there are 5 government members and 10 opposition members in the list, including Thalatha Athukorala, Gayantha Karunathilaka, A. Sumanthiran, Chanakya Rasamanickam and Lakshman Kiriella.

In addition, the Prime Minister’s Coordinating Secretary for Parliamentary Affairs, Kumarasiri Hettige, has also been identified as having a Covid infection and sources close to him have been quarantined, sources said.
