Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini has been summoned to the CID today (28), according to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.
This was followed by a complaint made by The Director of State Intelligence Major Gen. Suresh Saleh on last 25th over the remarks made by Father Cyril Gamini in connection with Easter Sunday attacks.
The CID had yesterday (21) reported the matter to the Colombo 01 Magistrate’s Court in connection with the complaint lodged by the Director of State Intelligence.
On the 23rd of this month, a group of Catholic priests, including Father Cyril Gamini and Father Rohan Silva having a Zoom meeting with some Sri lankan expats, have criticised the head of intelligence with misleading facts and posing his life to threat, The Head of Intelligence has mentioned with his complaint in CID.
