The media of the Catholic Church has issued a strong statement, asserting that concealing a crime is tantamount to committing a crime. This was said in response to allegations that the country’s former president, Maithripala Sirisena and defense minister had concealed crucial information regarding the worst mass murder in the country, the Easter Sunday Attacks for five years.

Spokesman Father Cyril Gamini Fernando emphasized the importance of bringing the individuals responsible for concealing the truth to justice. He urged patriots to take action by bringing the accused to the Criminal Investigation Department for interrogation and subsequent legal proceedings.

Father Cyril Gamini highlighted the seriousness of knowingly concealing a crime, stressing that it is a criminal offense under the law. He underscored the need for the authorities to treat this matter with the same urgency and diligence as any other crime.

In light of these assertions, the Catholic Church media urges legal action to hold accountable those responsible for concealing vital information regarding the Easter attack, thereby seeking justice for the victims and their families.
