A large number of mothers in Vavuniya have complained to the Vavuniya Medical Officer of Health that the medicines and contraceptives distributed among them by their family health workers for family planning activities and vitamins are expired drugs.
As the health sector informs the public to avoid unwanted pregnancies during the epidemic, family health workers have begun distributing medicines for family planning among married women in their provinces.
Family health workers have recovered a large number of medicines and vitamin supplements distributed to pregnant mothers after receiving complaints that they were expired.
