Angus Cloud, known for his role as Fez in the HBO series Euphoria, died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other drugs, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Office.
Cloud, who was 25 years old, passed away in July. The coroner’s office revealed the specific cause of his death, citing “acute intoxication due to combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines.”
The actor had recently lost his father, and his family noted that he had been struggling intensely with this loss. Cloud had attended his father’s funeral in Ireland the week before his accidental overdose occurred at his family home in Oakland, California.
In a statement, Cloud’s family expressed their hope that his passing would serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their battles with mental health and should not suffer in silence.
Angus Cloud had also appeared in music videos for artists such as Becky G, Karol G, and Juice WRLD. His role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill in Euphoria was well-regarded by fans and critics.
